Proprietary Hemp Extract (PHE) is a supplement made only with Raw CBD oil —no other ingredients. It’s packaged in an oral syringe for sublingual (under the tongue) use.
This is the Green (or “raw”) version, which contains CBDa and CBD. If you’re unfamiliar with these terms, check out the video below or read about it in our terminology section.
Why Choose Raw CBD Oil?
PHE’s Raw CBD Oil is the purest form of hemp oil. Literally nothing else is done to it once it’s extracted from the hemp plant. This means it contains a bunch of cannabinoids and phytonutrients in the ratio/quantity that nature intended.
So if you’re looking for the most potent product with CBDa and CBD, and no added ingredients, look no further than our Raw CBD Oil. In just one serving (which is a piece the size of a grain of rice), you get 5mg of CBD/CBDa. Although each batch will vary naturally, there’s usually an even ratio of the two cannabinoids, so you’re looking at about 2.5mg CBDa and 2.5mg CBD per serving.
Hemp concentrates, like this one, have a pretty powerful flavor to them. The Raw Label isn’t as strong tasting as the Blue or Gold versions, but you should still expect a hempy taste. Some people like the flavor, or at least they have an easy time tolerating it knowing that they’re getting an unbeatable potency of CBD and CBDa.
How Many Cannabinoids are in Raw CBD Oil?
Currently, our Green Label CBD Oil has a concentration of 15% CBD/CBDa. What does that mean? The amount of cannabinoids in hemp oil varies, so we usually measure it in milligrams. However, with concentrates like PHE, the CBD content is usually displayed as a percentage because there is such a large amount. But that makes it a little confusing when you’re trying to compare these to other products, so below we will break it down into milligrams for you!
- The 1g (g = gram) tube has 150mg CBD/CBDa.
- The 3g tube has 450mg CBD/CBDa.
- The 10g tube has 1,500mg CBD/CBDa.
In short, there’s 150mg CBD per gram of hemp oil. Each tube has the same amount of CBD per serving, but you save money by buying the larger sizes.
PHE Serving Size
Before we get into the serving size details, let us clarify that hemp extracts —like our Raw CBD Oil— have a paste consistency.
The recommended serving size is a little piece the size of a grain of rice, taken once or twice daily. There’s 5mg CBD in each serving. Due to the oil’s consistency, this is currently the easiest way to measure out a serving. It’s important to keep in mind that the amount of Raw CBD Oil you need might be completely different than the recommended serving size. Why? Because our bodies are different and the reasons people use CBD may require different amounts.
We suggest trying out different serving sizes to see what works best for you —but if you have no idea where to start, that’s when you want to follow the recommended amount for a week and then decide to take more or less depending on how you feel it’s working for you. CBD oil is a natural product with no negative side effects, so you can safely take more as needed.
If you’re taking more than one serving per day, try spreading it out throughout the day. For instance, taking 2 servings in the morning might not be as optimal as taking 1 serving in the morning and 1 in the afternoon or evening. Also, many people report that CBD helps them sleep through the entire night and wake up refreshed, so that may be worth consideration when planning out when to take your servings.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a chemical compound from the hemp plant, known scientifically as a cannabinoid. Cannabinoids interact with receptors in our bodies for various effects still undergoing research, including anxiety, inflammation, and much more.
What’s the difference between the Gold, Blue and Raw Oils?
As you probably noticed in our store, there are three versions of Proprietary Hemp Extract available. Don’t let that overwhelm you, we’ll explain!
- The Green Label is simply a raw hemp oil extract, containing a nearly even ratio of CBD and CBDa.
- The Blue Label is like the Green, but it’s decarboxylated (“heated”) to turn all CBDa into CBD. This is the most popular CBD product on the market.
- The Gold Label is decarboxylated and then filtered to remove excess plant parts in the oil. You won’t find any product on here with more CBD than the Gold Label. However, the efficacy of the Gold version seems to differ from person to person; some people love it, others actually found better results with the Blue. Keep that in mind if you try a product and it doesn’t work for you —there are other versions to try.
